   This impressive and colorful young herdsire proudly carries the name of his famous sire, VJ Tommie (aka Unlimited), a 100% Butler bull and one of the most influential bulls in the Longhorn industry. VJ Tommie has always been highly recognized for his great horn-producing genetics on both his sons and daughters. Texas Tommie is also a grandson of the great Texas Longhorn sire, Emperor.
.   This was a planned AI mating to bring out all of the best traits from both the sire and dam and we hit a homerun!  The VJ Tommie x Emperor cross has proven to be one of the strongest genetic matches and provides very reliable results.
    Texas Tommie is on his way to being a true stand-out. We see strong horn growth and loads of pretty colors from both sons and daughters, along with pretty lacey faces.

Texas Tommie's first calves arrived in Summer and Fall 2011 and have proved to be robust, colorful, correct, and carrying top horn genetics. He had been bred to some of our first calf heifers. His second calf crop —mating him with some of our top foundation females — is now arriving in Spring and Summer 2012.

While many parts of this equation have yet to be completely played out and PLR Texas Tommie is just now starting to mature into a true sire, first indications are he will be a producer of some colorful and exciting progeny. We are proud to have raised this great-looking and dynamic young and very colorful bull.
